for Area Representative ยท The Highlands
A 30-year Highlands neighbor and Nurse Anesthesiologist, fighting for a safe, healthy, and prepared Palisades.
My name is Diane Bleak, and I believe I am the most qualified to represent the Highlands on the Pacific Palisades Community Council. My family and I have lived at 1355 Avenida de Cortez for almost 30 years. Our home survived the fire, and we moved back in March 2025.
Over 80% of the Highlands survived, and many of us have moved back with unique needs unlike other areas of the Palisades. I have worked closely with Councilwoman Traci Park's office during and after the fire - helping my neighbors and keeping Palisades Drive clean, safe, and drivable.
As a Nurse Anesthesiologist for over 30 years, I am a fierce advocate for public health. I attend LADWP and monthly PPCC meetings, and I actively participate in fire safety and evacuation route planning. A safe Highlands, free of crime, is my passion.
Restore the Santa Ynez Reservoir and fight for the water infrastructure the Highlands needs to be safe.
Push for real fire safety planning and clear, workable evacuation routes for every Highlands family.
Bring 30+ years of frontline medical experience to the public health challenges of rebuilding and recovery.
Keep the Highlands safe and free of crime as more families continue to move back home.

Questions about the campaign, or about what comes next for our neighborhood? I would love to hear from you.
